The “Ecstatic Zouk” retreat was a 3-day experience bringing people together through zouk dance, connection practices, live music, ceremonies, and a ritual sauna experience.
The weekend took place surrounded by nature — in Dragonfly Land, among elven-style cabins and the quietly breathing atmosphere of the forest. Upon arrival, participants gradually shifted into a slower rhythm — the space itself invited people to slow down, breathe more deeply, and simply be.
The first evening was dedicated to meeting each other and opening the gathering with a shared circle, which naturally flowed into relaxation in a ritual Baltic sauna accompanied by the singing of traditional folk songs.
One of the central parts of the “Ecstatic Zouk” experience was the zouk practices and relaxation sessions led by Anderson & Brenda, which gradually guided participants toward a deeper relationship with themselves, others, and a stronger sense of togetherness.
Music moved hand in hand with the experience throughout the retreat — Gytis Bičkus, Diana Kaštonė, and DJ Antony created a sonic atmosphere filled with carefully selected tracks and moments of live instrumental improvisation that deepened the experience even further.
Fresh, nourishing, and lovingly prepared food provided by Moksha helped participants maintain a sense of lightness and well-being throughout the weekend.
The “Ecstatic Zouk” retreat was more than just a dance experience — it was a living process that left more lightness in the body and a deeper sense of presence within.

Anderson & Brenda are an internationally recognized Brazilian zouk dance couple, considered among the most influential teachers and performers of this dance style worldwide. They are known for their exceptionally deep connection, musicality, and smooth, organic movement.
In their classes, Anderson and Brenda emphasize not only technique, but also the importance of physical, emotional, and musical connection. Their teaching approach encourages dancers to develop greater awareness in movement, feel both the partner and the music more deeply, and experience dance as a living, sensory experience.
Over the years, they have taught workshops and performed at some of the world’s largest zouk festivals, making a significant contribution to the evolution of Brazilian zouk and to the development of a deeper, more conscious approach to the dance.

During this retreat, the practices led by Anderson & Brenda invited participants on a journey through different experiences — from active, energetic movement to deep connection and sensitive presence.
Saturday’s program was filled with Brazilian energy, body awareness, and the exploration of free movement. The practices focused on activity, rhythm, musicality, and a vivid connection with the body. Participants were encouraged to awaken not only the physical body, but also their inner energy — allowing themselves more spontaneity, confidence, and playfulness in movement.
On Sunday, the atmosphere of the retreat naturally slowed down and became deeper and more sensitive. The practices shifted into a space of connection, listening, and relaxation — with greater emphasis on feeling the partner, emotional presence, soft leading and following. Through slower and more conscious movement, participants were able to experience dance as a practice of closeness, trust, and inner calm.
Together, both days created one continuous experience where energy and softness, intensity and relaxation, movement and deep human connection merged into one.
